Hi Readers (good luck on finals, UBC-ers, and get back to work),

So I know -technically- I’m not supposed to be exercising, but I have been cheating a little bit. I went for a run the other day, and it was really painful, to be honest, so I wasn’t planning to do that again this weekend, but I did plan on attending yoga today. Fate stepped in however, and I arrived at The Sweat Box only to find out that it is still under construction until next week. Bummer.

To be honest, this lack of exercise lately has had a really negative impact in my life. I’m impatient, I’m edgy, I’m a grumpy, and I’m generally dissatisfied. I suddenly feel like I need more going on in my life. I’m trying to get out and be active in other ways, though, and although it hasn’t brightened my spirits yet, I really think it will.

I have decided to focus on challenges that aren’t fitness related for now. Challenges like, for example, taking driving lessons. For the record, I have a driver’s license, but I haven’t actually been behind the wheel since high school! So I feel like it would probably be beneficial to get some practice before getting out on the open road! Wish me luck…
